The rental stand is by the park office. Mouse decided to make an appearance from under the stove but he was friendly and went back to his hiding place. Thankfully the weather was very agreeable and it didn’t feel hot at all in the cabin (even with the fire we built). Be aware that there was no AC in this unit, though some units do have AC and you would need to ask for one. Norma with the park office was awesome to work with over the phone and then in person when we picked up our key. I did not bring these items with me which made it very difficult to use the beautiful new grill on the deck.
They make a special place to stay in the wilderness.
The thirty-four regular campsites are unreserved, and the park will allow overflow tent camping on the airstrip, making the campground a virtual village of trail runners that weekend. I would have given 5 stars but the mattress in this cabin is worn out, definitely in need of a new one.
