In 1988, the theatre’s then-operater, Cineplex Odeon closed the Edina 3 and all but its Art Deco landmark facade and marquee were torn down. The seats are worn and its obviously dated but I like it. The theater is pretty large and nice to spread out.
It takes you back to a time where cinema mattered - no big blockbusters, just honest movies from all over the world. The first run was at the Mpls. I will definitely keep coming back here for their good movies. The interior has an art deco look and feel to it that in a way makes it seem like a glitsy classic theater.
